Tobacco Seeds – Burley 38 (Premium Air-Cured Variety)
The Burley 38 is a distinguished Nicotiana tabacum variety, celebrated for its high yield and superior leaf quality. Developed through extensive breeding programs, this variety has become a cornerstone in tobacco cultivation, offering excellent qualities for both cigarette and pipe tobacco production.
Description and Characteristics:
• Plant Structure: Burley 38 plants exhibit a robust, upright growth habit, reaching heights of approximately 5 to 6 feet. The plant features broad, slightly puckered leaves, each measuring up to 24 inches in length and 12 inches in width.
• Leaf Quality: The leaves are light green during growth and cure to a rich, golden-brown color. They possess a smooth texture and are known for their excellent burning properties, contributing to a mild and pleasant smoking experience.
• Flavor Profile: Burley 38 offers a mild, nutty flavor with subtle sweetness, making it perfect for blending or standalone use.
• Adaptability: This variety is adaptable to various climates and demonstrates consistent performance with proper care.
Cultivation Guidelines:
1. Seed Germination: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Press seeds lightly onto the soil surface without covering, as they require light for germination.

3. Sunlight and Watering: Provide full sunlight and consistent watering to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.
4. Harvesting and Curing: Harvest leaves individually as they mature, starting from the lower ones. Air cure in a shaded, well-ventilated area to preserve the mild flavor and aroma characteristic of Burley 38 tobacco.
