About this variety
Overview
Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn. is an accepted rhizomatous aquatic species in the lotus family (Nelumbonaceae). Kew records it primarily in the subtropical biome.
About This Seed Selection
Wild Pink Lotus is retained as the commercial stock name. Flower colour, cultivar and collection provenance are not independently certified for this batch.
Growing Context
Lotus seed has a hard coat and is commonly started with controlled scarification followed by warm, clean water. Avoid damaging the embryo and move established seedlings to an appropriate aquatic container or pond system.
Important
Seed performance depends on batch condition, storage, local climate and care. Check local planting, invasive-species and import rules before ordering.
