Seeds of Albizia julibrissin, a heat-loving deciduous honey plant of the Legume family. It has been used in folk medicine as an anti-inflammatory agent and has anthelmintic properties.
The average height of the plant is 6-9 meters, but individual specimens can reach 12 and even 30 meters. The tree has a spreading umbrella-shaped crown with a diameter of up to 7 meters. The unpaired double-pinnate leaves consist of 9-14 lobes, reach a length of up to 20 cm, and have from 15 to 60 leaflets on each lobe. The color of the leaves is light green above, glaucous below, except for some varieties that may have brown leaves.
Albizia julibrissin is widely distributed in tropical and subtropical latitudes, mainly in the Eastern Hemisphere: in southern Europe, China, Japan, Taiwan, India, Nepal, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan.
